Description: Flexera One – IT Asset Management – All Regions – Inventory Processing Delays
Timeframe: December 2, 2025, 9:00 AM PST – December 2, 2025, 1:20 PM PST
Incident Summary
On December 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM PST, inventory data processing for Flexera One – IT Asset Management (ITAM) was disrupted across the North America (NAM), Europe (EU), and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. While the ITAM application remained accessible, inventory files stopped being forwarded for processing, causing delays in updated inventory information. In some cases, beacon interfaces appeared disconnected even though beacon uploads had completed. Usage data continued to flow normally, indicating that the issue was isolated to the inventory routing pathway.
The disruption began after a change was applied across all three production regions. Inventory files that were sent from beacons were not being forwarded successfully into ITAM, resulting in processing gaps across multiple regions. Internal monitoring and validation confirmed that no inventory files were reaching ITAM for several hours.
A rollback of the earlier change was initiated across all production regions. Once the rollbacks were completed, inventory data began forwarding normally into ITAM again. Queued files were automatically sent through and processed, and ingestion behavior stabilized across all regions.
The incident was fully resolved on December 2, 2025, at 1:20 PM PST.
Root Cause
The disruption was caused by a recent change deployed across all production regions that inadvertently prevented inventory files from being forwarded into ITAM. As a result, ingestion activity halted across all regions. Usage data continued to be processed because it follows a separate ingestion path that was not affected by this change. Rolling back the change restored normal routing behavior and allowed inventory data to reach ITAM again.
