Customers of the FlexNet Management Suite (FNMS) service can now test their systems against our Disaster Recovery site for the next few hours before we begin our roll back process. If you have any issues or concerns, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or our Support team.

Flexera conducts periodic failover tests of the FlexNet Management Suite (FNMS) service to our Disaster Recovery site. We will be performing failover tests for the North American FNMS service beginning Sunday, December 2nd at 3PM through Monday, December 3rd at 1AM (all times are Pacific).

This window of time gives Flexera a chance to monitor the site to ensure that all failover procedures go smoothly during a time when usage of the service is at a lower level.

These are scenarios where your service could be impacted during this time:

• Our SRE staff will be changing the associated DNS records to failover the service to our Disaster Recovery site. If you have outbound firewall rules in place that limit outbound access to IP addresses or networks associated with any FlexNet Cloud Service, you must include our DR network block 64.27.162.0/24 in your outbound firewall rules.

• The North American FlexNet Management Suite service may have brief service disruptions on Sunday between 3PM and 6PM as the service fails over to our disaster recovery facility and again on Sunday between 9PM and 11:45PM as they fail back to our production facility.

• Processing of inventory updates could be delayed during the window.

Our SRE and Engineering departments have a detailed plan to perform the failover activities. If any issues are encountered, we also have a roll-back plan to quickly switch back to our primary data center. If you notice any issues during the failover period or after we have switched back to production, please let us know immediately through your normal channels of communication with Flexera.
